After the dissolution of landmark French band PHILHARMONIE and their swan song "Le Dernier Mot" in 1998, guitarist Frederic L'Epee resumed his unique and intricate take on modern instrumental rock with his next project, YANG, in 2002. L'Epee, Bassist Stephane Bertrand, drummer Volodia Brice, and second guitarist Julien Vecchie (a guitar student of L'Eppe's) each contributed to an immediate, tight-but-lose sound that is carefully constructed but never deprived of its power and rawness. A gathering of influences from ROBERT FRIPP, jazz fusion and heavy rock, YANG reinvigorated an approach that is at once metrically diverse and comfortably inviting. Tiemko является чисто инструментальной группой прогового течения, с облегченной манерой исполнения, на грани Фьюжен в стиле ранних альбомов John Abercrombie. Временами утяжеляя свои гармонии и уводя слушателя в миры Allan Holdsworth тоже раннего периода.
Альбом Espace Fini (1988) является дебютной работой Tiemko и хоть он не отображает еще истинной картины стиля этой группы, но уже не вооруженным глазом виден хороший потенциал сего коллектива.

Originally issued in 1967, NEW AND OLD GOSPEL is one of the final albums in jazz saxophonist Jackie McLean's long and impressive run on the iconic Blue Note label. What makes this adventurous hard-bop album even more significant, however, is the presence of the legendary Ornette Coleman, in a rare turn as both a sideman and a trumpet player.
