Cemetery’s third full-length is a relentless concept album about the rise of a totalitarian regime and the collapse of the individual within an oppressive system. Across nine intense tracks, the album explores themes of fear, manipulation, psychological isolation, and the final struggle for dignity in the face of dehumanization.
Musically, Thoughts on Life…and Death delivers a powerful blend of old school death metal, dark atmospheres, and progressive elements. From the raw energy of the opening track “Thoughts on Life,” to the chaotic brutality of “Grief, Anger and Despair,” and the crushing, doom-infused final track “Thoughts on Death,” the record pulls the listener into a bleak and immersive soundscape.
Recorded at Walzwerk Studio in Weilheim, mixed and mastered by Sergej Dukart, and featuring artwork by Silvio Fiorese, this album marks Cemetery’s most mature and uncompromising statement to date.
