Released in an extremely limited quantity, Live to Tape was an official bootleg that Throwing Muses sold online after the release of Limbo. "Bootleg" is accurate, as Live to Tape sounds like it was committed in a tool shed. The first four tracks are from Limbo, and it closes with University's "Bright Yellow Gun" and Hunkpapa's "Bea." The spontaneity keeps it interesting, but this shows little of the might the trio carried live through their last years. It's a nice item for collectors, but it's a shame that as of 1999 this is the only live recorded material of the Muses' last lineup, as it was arguably their best.
