SPIRIT - CHRONICLES - 1967-1992

When I first heard Chronicles 1967-1992,I knew I had posession of the Spirit tape I had hoped for 15 years.Not since the 78 release of the L.P. Live Spirit had any thing that intense been produced by Randy or Spirit.Randy sort of went through an identity crisis during this period, due;in part to rejection of his music by major labels.Mind you, these labels didn`t mind producing Barry Manilow or Milli-Vanilli;sic-sick.Imagine; a 4 hour road trip with Boy George-Men-At-Work or Husker-Du for your listening enjoyment.Randy kept our spirits high with the release of several discs throughout this difficult period; Journey Through Potatoland,Spirit of 84{great album},Rapture in the Chambers[great new Spirit]and of course; the underrated Tent of Miracles.All of the afforementioned Spirit discs are a testament to a specific time in Spirit history with a specific project theme.What makes Chronicles 1967-1992 such a great disc is not only it`s historical documentation of Spirit`s music [25yrs.-22songs]but the release of such gems as Somebody Loves You-Lake of Love-King of Days-Reeling in the Night and others.I ordered this disc from C.D.Baby tonight;I have been trying since 93-94 when I acquired the cassette.It has not been available-until now-although limited quantities are still available. Buy this while disc while there is still an opportunity- a Spirit essential.
