This CD reissue obscure English blues rock sextet, which released their only album in Germany ORIGINAL PRESSING on the label Bellaphon - BLPS 19016 & Netherlands on the label :Pink Elephant - PE 877.005-H in 1970.
Containing first class progressive rock with jazzy touch, superb hard guitar work by MICK CONNELL, bloozy tunes, excellent songwriting, ace cover of The Beat Goes On (6:20), stunning vocals by ALAN SPRIGGS, heavy brass by GEOFF LEIGH & BRYN COLLINSON - a very rare collectors item!!!
British progressive formation referring to the style of Jethro Tull, Blodwyn Pig and Traffic. Well, maybe not so great, but the album contains a lot of juicy, slightly jazzy progressive rock,of course yes typical of the 1970's!
Recorded live at the club Pheasantry (?), In fact the quality of the studio, only a few voices are heard during pauses and applause, excellent live album by British sextet is superb, bluesy, jazzy, progressive rock that sounds a bit like Colosseum at times. Great guitar work, good songs, heavy saxophone and brass, brilliant vocals. The album includes a great unusual cover of Sonny & Cher's "The Beat Goes On". by adamus67
