OK, you cannot deny a certain affinity to a certain theatre of dreams, but still they manage to elude the stamp of a copycat. Just like on their debut "Apocolokyntosis" (thankfully they have used an easier title this time :) they manage the split between complex, break-laden progressiveness and catchy melody-lines, helping the listener to access the compositions.
No matter if you take the double-bass-enriched "Always There", the instrumentally basic "Star" (only acoustic guitars and slight keyboards) or the eleven-minute-epos "The Timeless Night", vocalist Giovanni de Luigi really can convince with his pleasant and warm voice.
For all fans of Progressive Metal, "Eros And Thanatos" is a good buy, all others should check it out first.
