The band hailing from Washington State and their recruitment of QUEENSRYCHE drummer Scott Rockenfield to produce them is just one plus. Second is the distribution and making of the new CD because it is released on Magna Carta Records who is known for giving total creative flow to bands without censorship.
You just don’t get twelve tracks of aggression. You also get video, which I think every band should do. The video gives the real insight of the band. By our site reviewing the CD, we will hopefully help the band in many great ways. But buying the CD that includes the video gives a sense that will let you look in on the personal footage of the band recording their material in raw sound. It shows the energy that is put into recording and it makes the fan feel like he or she is a personal part of the band. I applaud Totalisti and others who are making strides in letting the public look in at the real world.
Totalisti is not just about aggression because they also have a sense of style to their music with a blend of vocals by Mark Stockwell in the vein of Ed Kowalczyk (LIVE) and Scott Stapp (Creed). The evil twin comes out of Stockwell at different points of the CD with raw harsh power. Stockwell will be an asset to the music world for years to come with his sensational vocals as long as he stays down to earth and not catch that head trip shit.
This band is truly amazing and can fit in many different genres of music going from Melodic, Alternative, and Hard Rock to full blown out Aggressive. The changing style of the band goes from Warrel Dane (NEVERMORE) during the song “ETA” to music of Alice in Chains and the guitar work by Ben Spong has hints of Jerry Cantrell. Some of highlight tracks on “Slave to None” are “Sick of it All”, “ETA”, “Refined” but the song that stands out is “Shameless” that is much more melodic and Rockenfield brings the best out of each musician.
This is a great start for the Totalisti and I look forward to many more releases.
