В Чили FULANO рассматривается как Фьюжен группа, хотя на мой взгляд это не совсем так! Их композиции вмещают в себя, от экспериментального поп-рока до эйсид-джаза, с примесью авангарда. Роковой нотки добавляет манера пения женского вокала, как правило с наложениями, с такими отвязными манерами. Группа начала формироваться еще в 80-х годах и просуществовала до 2003 года. В 2003 году группа официально распалась в связи со смертью клавишника Хайме Виванко!

biography:
Considered the top Chilean fusion jazz-rock band. Their compositions range from an experimental pop-rock to acid jazz with an avant-garde background. A complex top-notch rock style featuring female vocals.
Formed in the late 80-s, the band came to an end in 2003 with the death of keyboardist Jaime Vivanco. Fulano was an experimental band mixing rock with jazz into a fusion - containing the kind of innnovativeness and energy that matched that found int the great fusuion movement of the 1970's.

Fulano's third album is another masterpiece. Creative and extarordibary the band plays again -as usual- with the great talent of their musicians, specially Jorge Campos (bass) Jaime Vivanco (keyboards), Guillermo Valenzuela (drums) and Arlette Jecquier, queen of scat...
"Lamentos": Really great lyrircs into a song that wanders thru' classic jazz and rock.
"Convicciones": A slow introduction -with vocals of Jecquier and Crisosto- turns into a syncopated piece of jazz with an extraordinary sax solo.
"Basura": A song full of anger and lyrics that make joke about politics mixing rock, jazz and some drops of tango.
"Ciego Y Perdido En Una Ciudad Extrana": The most sad and quiet and even scary song of the album . Based on a poem by Vicente Huidobro.
"Fuegos Artificiales": Another great song, full of intrincate keyboards and totally outrageos winds sections.
"Morbosadoquista": Ironic lyrics that talks about rich people and TV. Totally acid, with superb improvisation and guitar and sax solos.
"Con Fusiones": Instrumental. Maybe the best song of the album, with an amazing performance on keyboards and some drops of Ponty, Davis, Mahavishnu Orchestra.
