Jasun Tipton, a native of San Jose, California started his career in the Progressive Metal scene with Zero Hour. Zero Hour was representative of Tipton's creative abilities regarding swift time changes and an all out onslaught of technical precision. Tipton sees himself not just as a guitarist, composer, or keyboardist, but as an artist. An artist that always aspires to take his career in new challenging directions. In his latest project, Tipton attempts to capture his melodic and nuanced styles on tape to contrast that technical, flamboyant, and heavy styles that make up the essence of Zero Hour.
Tipton's debut album Seduction is the example of his abilities to put togethor a nuanced and controlled recording inspired by guitar greats such as Pat Metheny, Paul Gilbert, and other virtuosos including Marty Friedman and Jason Becker.
Jasun Tipton's solo project is obviously reccomended to Progressive Metal fans of Tipton's project Zero Hour, and fans of legendary guitar virtuosos such as Satriani, Vai, Metheny, Becker, and Gilbert.
