"Disillusioned", the first full length release of this young Polish quintet, which is consisted of eight tracks, is another one sign that the Polish are jubilant fans of progressive metal. Their name reminds of Fates Warning, however their orientation is different. They have based many things on their admiration for Dream Theater and Queensryche, but what makes positive impact are a few Andromeda influences. This shows that the band is searching for new elements to integrate in their music. However this is the main problem of "Disillusioned". The band seems content with merging their influences, new and old, instead of developing their own style. Their peak in "Disillusion" is at the beginning, where they deliver two really great songs, the self-titled and "Bleak". However the rest of the tracks do not follow on the same track and gradually the interest decreases, because of the dependency of Point of View on their influences. I think that in modern progressive metal there are numerous competitive bands that claim for the audience’s attention, so, without disregarding their skills and their performance, the final outcome of this carefully produced and well packaged CD is a little bit more than average.
