Originally released on the famous Holyground label, this album was
recorded in the late 1970s and early 1971 by students of
Bretton Hall College - West Bretton, near Wakefield,
West Yorkshire, England - who later went to work
with Bill Nelson and other Holyground artists.
Of the musicians, the more or less known was drummer Nick Dew,
who was in the first part of Be-
Bop Deluxe.
Only 99 copies of this album were made.
Consequently, this reprint is much sought after by collectors.
Mixing elements of
folk and
jazz into a progressive and sometimes
psychedelic stew, this is an interesting release that lives up to its reputation.
