Info:
wiki A sort of best-of McGuinn, Clark & Hillman and Roger McGuinn-Chris Hillman, drawn from all three Capitol albums, Return Flight's 14 songs distill most of their best and liveliest (and most Byrds-like) moments. The highlights include McGuinn's "Eight Miles High"-inspired 12-string playing on "City," plus the soaring "Givin' Herself Away," the haunting "Angel," and the Beach Boys-like "Skate Date." The only flaw is the absence of the two Gene Clark numbers off of City, which were good songs, regardless of Clark's state of mind. The notes are very detailed, but the lack of music credits is a slight drawback.
