Info:
wiki Very good blues-rock album from one of the most underrated guitar players. Lots of excellent guitar work that should satisfy fans of clear Blues sound. "Badge" is definitely the best track of the album. Great groove, amazing solo and exquisite arrangement. Other top notch tracks to me are: "Hand in hand with the blues", "Keep on Running", "Over my Head", "Homework" and "Bonnie". I'm not a big fan of "Peace Love and Understanding" duet with Mavis Staples who spends too much time echoing RF's lines (gets annoying quickly to my ears). "Me and my Woman" doesn't do it for me sung by RF. "For the love of money" had never been a song I like and this changes nothing about the feeling. I find Robben's voice to be very similar to Michael Franks which is neither a compliment nor a stab at him, just an aural observation. Overall the good is really good and worth repeated listens, great album! by~artaudbvandersmith
