The Rising Tied is the debut album of hip hop ensemble Fort Minor, the side project by Linkin Park rapper Mike Shinoda. The album was released on November 22, 2005. Hip-hop group and long time friends of Shinoda, Styles of Beyond are heavily featured on the album and also appeared with Shinoda to promote Fort Minor in photos and live shows.

This album is not only typical of the legendary Futura label, it is much more than that. If one were to name only one name (oops), that would be the magnificent Yoshko Seffer (here listed as Jeff Seffer), of ZAO and solo fame. For those into Henry Cow, early King Crimson, Ash Ra Tempel etc., a perfect cup of tea. For those into Cecil Taylor, as well. Highly recommended.
