Biography
Founded in Los Angeles in the mid 70s, Player were signed by impressario Robert Stigwood and soon charted with the massive hit "Baby Come Back", followed by Player, their self-titled debut album. After a few less successful long-players the initial core of Player fell part in the early 80s.
By 1983 the group ceased to exist and saw their former members pursue solo careers and other activities. However, since the mid 90s Beckett and Moss reunited as Player, and released the album Lost in Reality (1996) and live shows supported by the musicians Elliott Easton (guitars, of The Cars), Burleigh Drummond (drums, of Ambrosia) and Tony Sciuto, who Beckett knew from Little River Band.
In 2013, Beckett and Moss released Too Many Reasons, the first all new material from Player in 17 years.
