An acid jazz group from the U.K. that also incorporates elements of traditional jazz, blues-rock, funk, and mod, Mother Earth made their first appearance on the Acid Jazz label in 1992. "The People Tree" is their second album and despite selling more than 100, 000 copies world-wide it never broke really big in any one place, and the band's progress was halted by the juggernaut that was Britpop. Outside of acid jazz circles, Mother Earth is best known for including Matt Deighton amongst its membership, the guitarist who briefly filled in for Noel Gallagher on an Oasis tour.

Скачал, вчера ещё. И даже заценил краем уха. Вот первый - этот у них больше понравился. Нормальный музон! Но ИМХО, немного пасмурно для Йэсид Джаз - вокал я имею в виду - какой то "пафосный" как в роке, и иногда ритм энд блюзовую основу, хотя наверное так и задумано изначально. Впрочем может я просто пока не въехал - мозги на бок съехали от обилия дел. Очень спасибо! Однозначно в коллекцию! Буду послушать дальше! smile

Группа из канады с названием I Mother Earth играющая в жанре Alternative Rock.
Группа I Mother Earth была основана двумя братьями Jagori (guitar) и Christian Tanna (drums) из Peterborough в 1990, впоследствии перехавшими в Торонто, чтобы целиком посвятить себя музыке. После того как в студии братья познакомились с вокалистом по имени Edwin и басистом Franz Massini они записали своё первое demo.

В конце 60-х / начале 70-х годов блюз-рок создаётся групаа Mother Earth под руководством певицы Трейси Нельсон и выпускает несколько релизов, незаслуженно недооценённых в то время.
Нельсон была родом из Мэдисона, штат Висконсин, и это было время обучения в Университете Висконсина, тогда певецу заметил продюсер Sam Charters и в конце концов он подписал контракт на первую запись на лейболе Prestige. В 1965 году вышел сольный альбом певицы. Потом Трейси переезжает в Сан-Франциско. Вскоре после прибытия на Западном побережье, была создана группа Mother Earth, которая привела к выступлениям в знаменитом Fillmore West.
После появления группы на саундтреке к кинофильму Революция (Revolution) 1968 года (в котором также звучит музыка Quicksilver Messenger Service и The Steve Miller), Mother Earth подписала контракт с Mercury Records и выпустила стабильный поток релизов вплоть до начала 70-х годов.
