One of the greatest prog-metal debuts of 2006. Italy's Ashent don't fall easily into one category, yet their focus is remarkable. Technical and melodic at times, with aggressive death/thrash elements, with a catchiness that runs throughout all their work, this is an album for those who want to hear a band expanding the boundaries of the genre. Vocals come from American Steve Braun, and the album features a guest appearance from monster-guitarist Gianluca Ferro.
