This one is probably one of the most unique folk albums of it's time. Erica Pomerance's only album from 1968 is filled with some quite wacky material from the start to the finish. Her singing style is pretty strange because at some points she sounds very beautiful but there are several parts where her voice gets pretty crazy and even annoying. She's got this unique ability to sound very good and very bad at the same time.

Erica Pomerance is a Canadian documentary filmmaker, poet, and singer/songwriter. In December 1968, she assembled a diverse group of musicians to record her debut album, with engineering by Onno Scholtze. The late Trevor Koehler played alto sax. Gail Pollard, now also deceased, played flute. Dion Grody, Lanny Brooks, and Craig Justen, of Octopus fame, assisted. The album also features legendary guitar virtuoso Billy Mitchell, Don Coopersmith, Ron Price, Richie Heissler, and Tom Moore--an eclectic mix of classical, improvisational, folk, and
rock musicians
