Hugely rare original issue.
This Nimbus Supercut LP was released as part
of a special promotion available only to readers of Hi-Fi Today,
and was only available in limited quantities now even rarer
than releases from Mobile Fidelity, Nautilus, DCC and similar.
Nimbus Records established the need for high quality record releases,
as most mainstream vinyl at the time was haphazardly mastered from poor third
generation masters and pressed on poor quality recycled vinyl. In contrast,
Nimbus Records had ICI produce an extremely pure vinyl,
which has amazing frequency reproduction and almost no surface noise!
They also went back to the original Stereo master tape for this release and
used an all-tube mastering process, for arguably the best version of this album
ever available.
